Why Nevada Drivers Choose Astel
Our owner is a former truck driver who built the company he wished existed. 18 years later — we're still growing and still treating drivers like people, not numbers.
Nevada: Distribution Hub of the West
Reno's warehouse cluster restocks most of the West Coast overnight, and Las Vegas feeds tens of millions of visitors a year — two freight engines at opposite ends of the state, both hungry for reefer capacity.
🛣️ Major Nevada Freight Hubs
Two metro areas, two different freight worlds: Reno–Sparks lives on distribution, Las Vegas on consumption — and I-80 with I-15 tie them into the national network.
🌡️ Nevada Climate & Reefer Demand
Desert heat in the south, alpine winters in the north — Nevada freight needs temperature control at both extremes.
Summer: Vegas at 110°F+ — every food and beverage load
for the resorts arrives under refrigeration, no exceptions.
Winter: Northern Nevada freezes hard, and the Sierra passes
just west of Reno run chain controls — freeze-sensitive loads ride in
protect-from-freeze mode.
Year-round: Tourism never stops eating: Las Vegas grocery and
food-service volume makes southern Nevada one of the steadiest reefer markets
in the West.
🚦 Your Nevada Lanes with Astel
Nevada sits on Astel's main West ↔ Midwest artery: I-80 runs from Reno through Salt Lake toward Denver, Kansas City, and Chicago, while I-15 links Vegas to Utah and Southern California. Be ready to run all 48 contiguous states.
📊 Nevada Freight by the Numbers
Nevada moves far more freight than its population suggests.
